Jeremy has been with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since 2016 as an Administrative Business Specialist for Region IX and also as a Visual Information Specialist in HQs. Before CISA, he worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Government Accountability Office.
He reviews and updates policies, regulations and operating procedures for substantive programs and/or operations. This requires extensive research and development of program specific regulatory, policy, program guidance, and assessment criteria from broad legislative or other higher authority guidance.
He has also been the CISA Disability Employee Association Chairperson since June 2021. He oversees the planning and execution of the Disability Employee Association’s business and operations in partnership with the Special Emphasis Program Manager.
Mr. Sebest has been involved with other organizations within and out of the Federal Government. He has been a Board Member of Diversity and Inclusion for CISA, including being the Co-Leader for the Disability and Accessibility Council. He has been a 6-year member of the Department of Homeland Security, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Affinity Group, focusing on recruiting efforts for college graduates who are interested in pursuing a career with DHS. He also serves on a 3-year term as of April 2020 on the RIT/NTID Alumni Advisory Board of Directors. Lastly, he is a proud member of NAD, The National Association for the Deaf.
He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with degrees in both Graphic Communications and Criminal Justice. He also completed his Senior Executive Leadership Fellowship program from Harvard University this past summer of 2022.
