Ms. Jones has worked for FEMA, first at the Regional level and in 2013, became the Disability Integration Communication Access Specialist with FEMA’s Office of Disability Integration and Coordination and External Affairs at HQ. Prior to joining FEMA, Ms. Jones worked over 30 years’ in human services and disability organizations working in various roles with the state of Missouri and not-for-profit. Experience includes working with various not-for-profit disability organizations as well as the Missouri Assistive Technology for 18 years. Ms. Jones has extensive experience with disability policy including the ADA, telecommunications access, education and emergency management issues to allow for the inclusion of people with disabilities.
Ms. Jones is a parent of a young adult woman who is deaf adopted from China.
